SPECIAL UPDATE #24 1/30/11
WIRING AND BENCHWORK

I have been making slow progress lately. Mostly wiring and little projects that aren't visually stimulating but need to get done. I added a second digitrax PM-42 to the layout to give me 8 districts. This will help with the trains slowing in very long blocks. This will also keep shorts from stopping trains running in other districts. I have cut a few of the Digitrax plug ins into the fascia. They look great mounted.

Austin siding has proved to be challenging. Building a second level and getting it set to the correct grade has taken a lot more time than anticipated. Also the curve around the wall in the middle of Austin was tough but finally got finished. The fascia will make it look better. Gary got over last week for a work day and we got the benchwork done to the end of Austin and around the corner.

I am anticipating cutting in a drop box for a bridge on the opposite side of Quinns. This will be done soon as we plan on building the benchwork over the top of this area soon. The bridge can go in later. This bridge is already partially built as it was originally slated for East Missoula. With a small change this will be perfect for one I took a picture of a few years back near Quinns.
